Sale prices on recorded books are structured a bit differently than regular books. It is perceived in the market place that recorded books are more expensive. Recording isn’t cheap but an author can recover their cost in publishing much quicker with the addition of a recorded book as an accessory. There are people who will not read. There are people that are “too busy” to read. Recorded books make these kinds of people customers who would ordinarily not be customers. Recorded books sell for about 18% more than the printed books they come from.
We can finish a book on CD just after we finish the printed form.
